The work I am now doing. Now and Now not Then and Now. 2010

Part documentary part social comment this new work was initially made with the intention of being viewed through a stereoscope viewer. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the...drugstore.

New works now updated on the website

I've been working! Finally. It feels so good to be productive once again~!

Recently I made two Kallitype prints from 8 x 10 pinhole Negatives :

 Berkeley Plantation, 8 x 10 pinhole. Kallitype print, 2010

Hope Plantation, NC, 8 x 10 pinhole. Kallitype, 2010

More from the Double Vision series. Images of frugal slave cabins and interiors of georgian plantation houses.

Double Vision #3

A slave cabin from McLeod overlain an interior view of Drayton Hall.

Double Vision #4

A slave cabin from McLeod overlain an interior view of Drayton Hall.

Double Vision #5

A slave cabin from McLeod overlain the somewhat bucolic view of Drayton Hall.

An image of McLeod Plantation on St Johns Island, Charleston, SC. The two images are the same. One in black and white and one in color. Holga.  Gotta love that plastic piece of junk!

Exhibition at Rocky Mount Imperial Arts Center, 2011

Just got word I have a show at the Rocky Mount Imperial Arts Center in the fall of 2011.

Hoooray and Thank You Ms Coulter and thank you to the Universe.  I will be having a solo show at Rocky Mount Arts Centre in the Fall of 2011 in the Main Gallery. Existing and new works  2007-2011 in photography and some video.

Yay.

Muchas Gracias.

The following image "You don't know the half of it" is taken from the Bloodline series of 2008. Several of these works, along with my latest works from the Double Vision series, the Assymetry series of 2008/2009 and more to be made will be exhibited. Made with a 8 x 10 pinhole camera and contact printed using a very improper approach to the application of emulsion, the Bloodline series makes a statement about the importance of ones bloodline for the perpetration of the imbalance and asymmetry of slavery's legacy.
